Artwork description:

This linocut print shows a view of Huntcliff in Saltburn, with fishing boats, tractors and the Ship Inn in the foreground. Old Saltburn dates back to the 18th Century and consisted of a number of small cottages and two Inns - The Ship and The Nimrod, once the centre of the smuggling trade in the area.

It is an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving away the lino between each layer of colour to produce the final image. It is a limited variable print from an edition of 18 using Fabriano UNICO cream paper, 250gsm and Lawrence oil-based inks. The image size is 22cm x 45cm with a generous margin to allow for framing.

My linocuts are handmade from start to finish - hand carved, inked and handprinted, and as such they will have small variations between prints - making each print into a unique artwork.

All of my prints are flat packed if delivered within the UK, and will be sent packaged in tissue and a tube if delivered outside of the UK. If you have any questions, please just get in touch and thanks for taking a look!

Materials used:

Fabriano UNICO cream heavyweight paper, 250gsm. Lawrence linseed oil relief ink.
