For sale
This is the approach to a little village by the name of Saint-Severen-Sur-Boutonne in the south west of France, and it was painted 'in situ' over about a two hour session. It was my deliberate intention to lean towards a little more abstraction than I usually do, so by simply observing shapes and tones and colours and rendering them as faithfully as I could, the painting was constructed by placing blobs of colour next to each other.
