This painting is made on paper applied on an old restored olive cutting board. I added vintage metallic objects made of steel, brass and iron in order to make stronger the board and to add a sort of precious decoration on the work. This modern saint is inspired by Italian and Mexican ex votos: small reproductions of miracles dedicated to the christendom saints. These representations are famous for their bluntness and for the explicit representation of blood, illness and wounds. Even the great paintress Frida Kahlo was inspired by this popular form of art, so perfectly disturbing. The painting is made with natural coal, watercolours and acrylic. I signed all my artwork with a small monogram on the front and with my signature on the back.
All my artworks are shipped via Poste Italiane + insurance and are carefully packed with protecting materials in order to arrive safe and sound at your home!
Ready to hang.
