Original artwork description:

the 4th portrait of my ex pupil and now facebook friend sabna.

what really caught my eye here were the beautiful turquoise jewellery items , which contrast with her skin tones.
the painting was done , after the usual acrylic underpainting, with a soft brush, using thin oils mixed with linseed oil

i have used the 'sfumato' [smoke] technique which leonardo da vinci used for the mona lisa , ie very soft blended edges, , almost a soft focus effect

i am very fondof this and will be sad to part with it if it sells

Materials used:

acrylic [underpainting], oils
