Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

He's coming right at you! Also known as the Royal Tiger, this stunning creature is painted in oils on a geological & Mineral map of West Bengal; the map has a date of 1973 printed upon it. India has the greatest number of tigers but even the Bengal tiger population is estimated at no more than 3,000 to 3,500 individuals. It is my hope that through artwork like this I can raise awareness of the desperate plight of such creatures.
The artwork is float mounted with a second mount surrounding the map, and professionally framed in a bespoke moulding. The artwork is conserved behind glass and ready to hang. A must for any Tiger lover!
