Roundism – 24-11-17 (sold)
A new graphite pencil drawing in the roundism series in which I experimented with deformations of body shapes with the purpose of keeping the forms as ‘open’ as possible, so all forms can breathe, flowing from one into another. I tried to apply the lessons I learnt from Cézanne, Monet, Rik Wouters and so many others, setting forms apart from eachother with spatial freedom between them. Cézanne’s multiperspectivism (Mont Saint-Victoire) with broken contour deleniations is a big inspirational source as to this attempt.
Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Lana Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm)
Artist: Corné Akkers
Graphite pencil, pentel 0.5 mm, 3B
