Artist's description:

I wanted Roofs of Home to go beyond the iconic image of The Seven Sisters and for it to be a metaphor for life. Having lived by these white cliffs all my life, they have a reassuring presence and yet fragile ruggedness which portrays the perpetual nature of time.

Text above cliffs reads.........
Forged furrowed and undermined
The lofty walls of white with black flints lined
By sculpting seas and eager tides
The past lay bare
These solid cliffs
Draw me back always
Roofs of home

Materials used:

Acrylic, chalk and mixed media on aluminium
