Original artwork description:

This artwork has been created on a circular canvas, streched on a wooden frame. The technique is lent from ancient iconic paintings. Based on a textured ground, a metallic layer has been applied before painting it with mostly translucent colours. The light is also reflected from behind and makes the surface structure visible from different angles. The effect is hard to ban on a photograph ....

The artwork is painted on canvas, stretched on a wooden frame. It can be hung without framing and will be shipped carefully protected within a cardboard box.

I work with high quality artistic materials - usually acrylic colours, ink and sometimes oil, applying them in many layers. In addition, sometimes I add experimental materials like wood stain, ashes, sand or other finds of nature. My work is inspired by colours and forms evolving form the process of layering – adding and combining colours on wet and dry substrate. The process is emergent – free flow and deterministic aspects are brought together in a creative manner. I kindly invite the viewer to regard the artwork on the one hand as an entire unit, in its composition and overall expression, but on the other hand also to watch out for all the tiny details and fascinating aspects involving the eye of the beholder again and again!
The painting is signed on the backside. A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included with the artwork.
