This artwork was inspired by family holidays on farms around the UK we found each animal had its own personality and my children loved the little stories we made around them. I would always carry and sketchbook and camera and the Long Bottom farm series is the result of many years of very happy holiday memories.
Roger lives on Long Bottom farm with his friends the Percivals, he is the head of the herd and has crossed horns a number of times to ensure he stays there, proud of his horns having groomed them to their fine standard, he loves to watch his flock, take care of his children and relax on top of long bottom hill and watch the sun go down.
