I painted 'Rockpools and bait catcher' on a warm late summer afternoon on location at Kingsgate Bay on the East Kent Coast, not far from my studio.
It shows the chalk cliffs and the rockpools at low tide, when children like to explore and bait catchers work with nets and buckets.
I was attracted by the light and shadows and the scale of the ancient cliffs and the erosion of the chalk.

This original painting will make a lovely gift for someone who knows the area, or who has holidayed on the East Kent coast. I have signed it on the front, in the lower left corner and It comes to you carefully wrapped and with a signed certificate of authenticity. It is NOT framed, the photos are to show how it might look on your wall.
