Artist's description:

This work is inspired by both prehistoric rock-art from Northumberland and by the Catalan Spanish artist Joan Miro, a hero of my mine who has greatly influenced my work. The rock-art dates to c.2500-2000 BC (Copper Age/Early Bronze Age) and it is something of a mystery, although it probably had some religious or ritual symbolism.

Materials used:

Watercolours, inks, acrylics and gouache
