Original artwork description:

Ride London 9 / 10 August, a bicycle jamboree in Green Park, lots of enthusiasts setting off from Buckingham Palace, some serious athletes but mostly bikers looking for fun without traffic.
This large watercolour was painted with a basic palette of Alizarine, New Gamboge (yellow), French Ultramarine and Viridian.
I had set out to record the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace but found on arrival that the whole of Green Park and the Mall and Constitution Hill had been taken over by a sponsored 'Ride London' for bike enthusiasts… so this is the result of my change in plan.

Materials used:

Artists watercolours, fine art paper, sponges and assorted brushes
