This painting is based around a dream I had a long time ago. In my dream the sea was a purple~blue colour with a beautiful patchwork blue sky. I remember there was an unusual atmosphere, with dark eerie rock forms in the middle of the sea. It felt a little 'other worldly'; most odd, but at the same time quite delightful.
Ampersand Claybord panels are eco friendly and of a high quality. The artwork has been sprayed with a museum quality satin varnish to protect the colours from fading.
The sides of the panel are unpainted; please see the images.
This artwork is ready to hang ~ pop a nail in the wall & place the artwork on the nail. Voila, it should sit flush against the wall. It would also look beautiful framed.
Tomorrow (January 19th 2016) I will be making a painting from a photograph of my local area in South West London.
