Artist's description:

This is a scene I was so blessed to capture on a recent visit to Sligo Ireland, The photograph just brings such tranquility & peace every time I look at it. I reached this viewing point after driving down a few little old back roads and what a treasure I found.
The stillness of the lake with the reflections of the clouds way was silent only for the singing of the birds. I will never forget the bliss I experienced.
2015 Ireland celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Nobel Prize-winning poet, William Butler Yeats on June 13th 1865 who wrote a very famous poem about this lake & Island called The Lake Isle of Inishfree.
In this poem, the tone is peaceful, thoughtful, expectant and harmonious
in keeping with the poem's theme. The words that reflect this mood are
'...I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow'.
And I guess I captured the mood of this famous poem in my artwork.
All my artwork is available in a number of finishes & sizes, please contact me if you should have any requirements o questions. Thank you
