I have been very lucky to have visited Belgium a few times and I find it to be such a beautiful country in terms of food, its people and its architecture. For this scene I was particularly drawn to the amazing colourful buildings and the warm setting sun reflected in the water. This painting is the first of a new series of mine which focuses on reflections in lakes and rivers. I am drawn to strong, colourful compositions and I have a particular interest in symmetry; but this painting means more to me than that as it is imbued with my own emotional response to the beautiful city of Bruges.

Sides are painted and ready to hang. The painting will be beautifully wrapped making it an ideal gift.
