Original artwork description:

I learned a lot while painting this one! The main lesson was to paint the water first. When I arrived, there was no wind and the reflection of the tree was like a mirror. Then the wind picked up - just a little at first, causing just a tiny ripple. But the wind kept building until my perfect reflection was almost gone! I really like the way that this one turned out though, the water has a very abstract feel.

This is painted on a wood panel and there is a slight variation in the wood - you can see it in the photo. You cannot see it at all in most lighting conditions though.

Materials used:

oil
