Skipwith Common, near Selby, is in the vale of York. The land is flat; although in past years, water was everywhere, now it is drained by new irrigation ditches... what you see here, is now dry -- probably gone forever. It was a favourite spot in all weathers. This frame is ok, but the painting could look so much better in something more sophisticated... but then -- I'm not charging you for this frame!
