This painting is based on a photograph by Kathryn Goddard which she added to The Creative Commons section at . I'm grateful to Ms. Goddard for making such a beautiful image available to artists and others for creative purposes. While hers is an exquisite photograph, I think my interpretation in oil on panel, works as a small painting (I've changed the background color, added the diagonal of the tabletop, etc..). It is signed and dated in verso, clear-coated in artist-grade varnish to protect it from dust and abrasion, and framed in a 2.5 inch wide (on all sides) mahogany frame that picks up on the warm deep reds and browns of the painting and that makes the entire presentation quite stunning. The frame i s not ornate, and yet sufficiently carved to add texture. This work ships with a digitally-registered Certificate of Authenticity.
