In a country where bulbs are found everywhere, the amount of wild tulips on the verges is amazing and a delight to see, bright happy and nodding in the spring breeze.
I have created this collage on a stretched canvas, ready to hang. I start by giving the entire canvas a coat of black acrylic paint and then I have used magazine papers to create the red tulips and leaves. I apply the papers on to the canvas with acrylic medium, I have added touches of acrylic paint to enhance the image, and added layers of very a happy sky blue acrylic to the background, without touching the edges, they are still black, so it really does not need framing, but of course, you can frame it if you want.... once it has all dried, I have varnished the image with a UV varnish for longevity.
The size of the stretched canvas is 30 cm x 30 cm (12" x 12") and it comes complete with a hanger ready to go on the wall.
I ship the painting/collage from my studio in Denmark, and it comes flatpack, sturdily packaged, to arrive safely.
