Artist's description:

This painting is inspired by a public domain photo of Stockholm form circa 1960. I paint scenes depicting images from public domain photos for a few reasons. Because they're public domain, any reproduction or representation or interpretation of them is completely allowed. Additionally, I enjoy bringing them to life in color.

To me, the streetcar, is a beautiful machine visually. It's charming for its hybrid nature of bus and train.

For collecting considerations, this is the first piece I ever painted where a streetcar or trolley was centrally featured. I've since painted another which is on exhibit at a gallery until November.

In this piece, you could discuss:
what's determined and what's left open to interpretation?
where do you see the brushstrokes?
how do the colors work together?
