"And when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails."
Inspired by the sailboats in the area and my imagination.
I have created this impressionistic watercolour with a blurring of the boats and a mixing of soft hues. The calm pale sky in the background is a contrast to the redness of the boats and the lines. Not exact nor are they completely straight but with a light hand, a suggestion of them. The signature can be found as if tied off the port side or simply dangling towards the mauve water.
You will notice that on several of my pieces the signature has become part of the work rather than just along the side or bottom of the paper.
Red sailboat is a one of a kind, ready to hang in your space or could be a gift for that special someone, a sailor perhaps. It is a loosely painted watercolour with the hopes of showing movement.
I also want to mention if you ever want to reframe for any reason all of my work is named and signed on the back of the watercolour paper or canvas.
Please feel free to look at the other watercolours I will be posting. I have several that are framed and ready to hang.
My creations are all original, one of a kind that have been professionally framed in white wooden frames with mattes.
They will be packaged professionally, insured with a tracking code through Canada Post here in Southampton, Ontario.
Please message me with any questions or requests as I love commission work and have done several of these for instance the "Summer Line" that I will be posting with the relevant bathing suits for the particular family in mind.
Thanks so much for stopping by my site and coming into my studio space with me.
For the newer work I will be sure to post actual photos of me painting but I had all of my watercolours framed so I have done the best I can to show all the areas for uploading the work.
