Gerberas have long been one of may favourite flowers and when I found the greenish turquoise bottle in a tiny charity shop in Lincolnshire the pairing was too perfect not to paint. I enjoyed the contrasts of greens and blues with the vibrant red blooms and the hard reflections with the soft fragility of flowers.
Oil paint, linseed oil, dammar varnish, MDF, cotton, rabbit skin glue, gesso.
