I was researching various mental illnesses for a film, and time and again there was this common factor of racing thoughts, or uncontrollable thoughts. I thought, well who hasn't had that? - we all torture ourselves with to-do lists, repetitive scripts in our heads, anxieties, obsessions, addictions and infatuations. Thoughts should fly, but some catch in the hair.
