Artist's description:

Even though bees do me fear , I find them very nice. Being a lover of gardens, plants and e flowers, I accustommed to see them around me. We also know that bees play an important role in pollinating flowering plants, and are the major type of pollinator in many ecosystems that contain flowering plants. I decided to paint a Queen Bee: she is usually the mother of most, if not all, of the bees in the beehive. There is normally only one adult, mated queen in a hive, in which case the bees will usually follow and fiercely protect her.

The term "queen bee" can be more generally applied to any dominant reproductive female in a colony of a eusocial bee species other than honey bees.
