Art last so much longer than flowers or chocolate for Mothers day!
Tulips are my absolute favorite flower, as soon as I see them in the shop, I have to fill a vase. The purple tulips in the amber vase, made from an old atlas light up any room. It is a little bit like a crystal ball that vase.
I have created this collage on a stretched canvas, ready to hang. I start by giving the entire canvas a coat of black acrylic paint and then I have used handmade papers to create the tulips, I have used torn pieces of an old pocket atlas to make tha vase, most pieces from Ireland and England. The "table cloth" is made from pieces of magazine papers. Once glued onto the canvas with acrylic medium, I have added touches of acrylic paint to enhance the image, and added layers of spring green acrylic to the background, without touching the edges, they are still black, so it really does not need framing, but of course, you can frame it if you want.... once it has all dried, I have varnished the image with a UV varnish for longevity.
The size of the stretched canvas is 30 cm x 30 cm (12" x 12") and it comes complete with a hanger ready to go on the wall.
I ship the painting/collage from my studio in Denmark, and it comes flatpack, sturdily packaged, to arrive safely.
