Original artwork description:
This is a pastel painting of tulips I saw in a garden in Wales in early May. The tulips were an unusual colour, almost black in the centre, but with purples, blues and reds highlighted on the outer petals. I liked the way they stood so upright, as if standing to attention.
The painting is framed with a light oak wood-effect frame 1.8cm wide and an off-white mount 6cm wide sides and bottom, and 6.5cm wide at the top.
