Purple Alliums is an impressionist take on one of my favourite flowers, the globe allium, one that manages to survive in my garden and come back year after year.
The flowers were painted with watercolours and I used antique music manuscript as my paper ground.
After all music and flowers is a natural combination! The music is a lovely, creamy colour as you would expect from paper that is 100 years old. The flowers are painted in various shades of purples and highlighted in white,
Please note that as every computer/laptop moniter is different the colours you see on your screen may vary slightly to the original, this is especially true of purple tones.
The painting is mounted in a soft white mount and framed in a simple, contemporary black wooden frame.
