I wanted to paint an artwork that celebrates the first day of Autum, but with a twist, one with psychedelic colours. There is so many terrible things going on in the world at the moment, so I want to contrast this with a positive painting with bright neon colours. This work is painted in the style of abstract expressionism.
This work is painted with synthetic polymer acrylic and the surface is a professional-grade 12 oz canvas and has been sealed with varnish. The canvas is stretched onto an HD stretcher with dimensions 90 cm height by 210 cm in width. The artwork has been painted in the same style on the sides and so does not need framing.
This work was created on the 1st March 2022.
