This portrait is a five colour reduction linocut print.
In this piece I was searching for a way to give a Linocut print, which is often considered a very graphic method of making art, a more painterly and impressionistic style.
I think the end result certainly gives a perceptible taste of a painted look but celebrating the graphic edge that is such a recognised part of lino prints.
This is a very limited print of 6. However, due to the unpredictable nature of printmaking and my own tendency to experiment during an edition run, each print is slightly different and therefore unique.
