Original artwork description:

Thank you for taking a look at my beautiful painting.

This stunning abstract work is created with striking vibrant colors on acid free paper. The distinct black lines and white spaces interlaced with primary colors are very appealing to the eye.
As the name Harlequin suggests it is a colorful, lively and outstanding painting.

Inspiration behind the Art :
I can still vividly recall the hours spent as a child under the sprawling, cave-like canopy of a huge bougainvillea bush in our front yard. A magical place where my sister and I would spend our holidays, playing board games with an occasional siesta on the soft grass beneath. It was this natural world that truly captured my imagination.
I loved watching in awe as colorful sunbirds flitted among its branches, their iridescent feathers catching the sunlight. Delicate butterflies would flutter by, drawn to the crisscrossing offshoots adorned with vibrant, blooming flowers. It was a living canvas, bursting with vibrant hues, casting a spell on me that has never faded.
That experience ignited a lifelong enchantment with trees and nature as a wellspring of creativity. The intricate patterns of rustling leaves, interplay of light and shadow, and breathtaking colors of flowers, birds, bugs and bees became my muse. It taught me to observe the world around me with an artist's eye, to appreciate the delicate details and brilliant colors that nature offers, and to translate them onto canvas with my own artistic interpretation.
Take a walk with me into this enchanted world titled ‘Harlequin’, where every gnarled trunk depicts a tale of resilience, beauty, perseverance and growth. Celebrating the theatrical nature of these amazing trees, the bold black/white lines in my paintings represent the branches, while the explosion of colors portrays the diverse and abundant life that thrives in and around these miracles of nature.

I fervently wish that my art will not only inspire awe and admiration, but raise awareness and foster a connection with nature to bring about a positive change for a green and sustainable planet.

Let us all come together to cherish and safeguard these invaluable treasures of nature, so that the ‘Harlequin’ dance of trees continues to enchant us and our generations to come!
