Stimulating an apprehensive stillness within the composition, a dominant diagonal line and radiant colors, define the abstract shapes, which are illuminated by three differing surface treatments, High Gloss, Semi Gloss, and Velvet Satin, heightening the illusional depth across the picture plane. Gazing upon the image, after just a few moments, a sense of anticipation is realized, as if the red figure will soon move.
I believe this Series of works communicates their contemporary artistic elegance quite well, irregardless of any intended or perceived "meaning". Simplicity is BEAUTIFUL!
