Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Power Lines II is about the power of the church at that time and how it bound the population in a tight grip of fear and obedience and God help anyone who stepped out of line! William Gregory is the figure who has been ensnared by the barbed wire. There is a brass rubbing in the church of St Mary in the Marsh of him wearing traditional robes but nothing more is known about him, sadly. There must have been money in the family as there is also has a brass rubbing of his mother there too.

Framed in black frame with white and black double mount.
