Original artwork description:

The sculpture in limestone and pine wood reminds one of the shape of a pouf that seems to sit and slide on top of another. Or even a river pebble polished by water. In the centre emerges a 'quilted' structure of limestone chips.
A sculpture with a seemingly soft, organic form that also resembles the shape of a cake. This ambiguity makes the work enigmatic and curious.

A small curiosity:
It seems that the name pouf comes from a bizarre and pompous hairstyle of Queen Marie Antoinette of France. A structure consisting of a metal frame to 'inflate' the hairstyle and covered with hair, feathers, etc. A fun reference!


Important information
The sculpture consists of two main elements, which are joined by a simple wood pin. The upper element can rotate on the other by means of a pin so that you can freely decide at what point in the rotation to leave the work.
