Taking my theme of pop art food to the level of pure comfort food is this, a fried egg on top of a potato waffle. Potato waffles are a potato-based savoury food in a lattice shape. They are common in the United Kingdom and Ireland but you occasionally see them in other countries.

The food objects are set against a light blue background painted with acrylic paints and separated with bold black outlines done in Posca paint pen.

This is a redux of a painting that sold previously, only on this new version the waffle IS the canvas - the yellow design goes around the edge of the painting, making it ready to hang. It would look great hung with some of my other egg paintings or prints, as shown in the final picture.

It is a colourful and unique piece that is sure to light up any room in the house although it would probably look best in the kitchen.

It is painted in acrylics on a fairly small, stretched cotton canvas that's ready to hang.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.

It would look great in a kitchen, living room, or bedroom, or in a quirky cafe, restaurant, or pub.

Postage will be first class, tracked, and packaged with bubble wrap.
