Ginny was a member of a long running portrait group that I tutored in Weston-super-Mare. She kindly volunteered to sit for the rest of the group when the pre-booked model could not attend. Ginny sat superbly and looked so attractive that I could not resist setting up my own easel and making this painting and a companion drawing, in between offering my usual guidance and encouragement to the other group members. The free flowing mane of hair provides an energetic counter-point to the serene beauty of her face. It is one of my favourite portraits and occupies a prominent position on my studio wall.
