Portrait of a Young Woman explores the myriad of views one might experience as she turns her head, changes her expression and we catch her attention. The changing light and colour of her skin, eyes, lips and hair invite us to look closer but still we do not know her name.
The work consists of 115 hand painted wooden cubes each carefuly assembled to create a unique 3D canvas adding a myriad of interpretations and insight into her character.
The work may be viewed as a 3D painting and sculpture as it is built around a simple plinth at its centre
