In this illustration I have used acrylic inks by @Liquitex. The colours are very strong and permanent but can be mixed to provide more subtle tones and the addition of water. I love experimenting with this medium and in this case I used watercolour paper that I have treated with white gesso which deters the colour from soaking into the paper and allows for longer playing around with it.
I look forward to trying out the new ‘subtle’ colours. The scene is one that obviously has been reproduced many times and in many ways, but I just saw the possibilities with @Liquitex inks in producing the angles and cragginess of the rocks of Portland.
