"Regal Fuchsia" original artwork part of "Polypetalous" series
My Inspiration: My artworks are inspired by the dramatic nature and plants I have encountered during my travels to more than 50 countries. I love nature and its ability to renew, heal, and inspire. I paint from memory. My paintings are not meant to be an accurate representation of a specific place, but rather a visual representation of a mood. The atmosphere of the place and how I felt when I was there, rather than a detailed visual image of a specific landscape.
With my Polypetalous series of paintings, I wanted to explore oversize flowers. Featuring an elegant and grown-up colour scheme with bold colours and metallic accents, this artwork is beautiful, dramatic and inspiring. This painting features a stunning flower with vibrant colours that jump out of the paper. I love the way the different colours, from light to deep and saturated, have all combined together. Even though I love living in London, I really love nature and its ability to transform us. As a keen gardener, I love seeing flowers change throughout the seasons. I also enjoy discovering new flowers and occasionally am lucky enough to have a few fresh cut flowers in the house. My unique style of artwork which shows a lot of movement really works with these flower paintings providing a sense of movement and energy. I believe the end result is a truly unique and original piece of original art which certainly will make a bold statement.
Artwork Details: My modern painting is made using premium liquid acrylic and other inks on luxury heavyweight Fabriano watercolour paper. It is size 31 cm x 41 cm (or about 12 inches x 16 inches) – perfect for a 40 cm x 50 cm standard frame. It is mounted on a 40 cm x 50 cm high quality conservation grade acid-free mount to protect the artwork during display and shipping. The mount can be changed easily without damaging the original artwork. The painting is sold unframed. The painting is signed on the front and back and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
