Artist's description:

Wonderful watercolour with graphite linear scrawls help define two animated individuals that may be exploring signs and their variable meanings. Following the radical critiques by Marx, Freud and Nietzsche Saussure followed on with, 'Meaning can not be present to itself since it is dependant on other meaning.' Meaning does not reside in words themselves but in a potentially infinite series of relationships between signifiers.

Materials used:

graphite, watercolour.
