Artist's description:

In classical antiquity, the horn of plenty was a symbol of abundance and nourishment. It is commonly depicted as a large horn-shaped container overflowing with produce, flowers or nuts. This model is very abundant, so I chose to paint her as if she came tumbling out of a horn of plenty together with some grapes and tangerines, all set against a classic dark brown background.

This oil painting is a handmade, unique artwork, signed at the back. It is painted on linen, using artist grade oil paints, media and varnish. You can find more information on my painting method in the Me at work section of this website. The artwork will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard box.

Materials used:

Oil paint on gesso on linen, varnished
