Inspired by the thought that greenhouses and pavilions - like the one this piece is based on at The Botanical Gardens in Sheffield - are essentially recreations of reality. Tiny patches of tropical rainforest are reimagined and re-presented, completely out of context within a recreated authenticity, rather like animal enclosures at a zoo or aquariums.
