Artist's description:

"Bonny Portmore" is a folk song from Ireland - an elegy for perished forests and trees.

"O bonny Portmore,
You shine where you stand,
And the more I think on you,
The more I think long...

...All the birds in the forest,
They bitterly weep,
Saying, 'Where shall we shelter,
Or where shall we sleep?"

There is also a beautiful piece by Loreena McKennitt called "Bonny Portmore" which is based on this traditional song. By the way, I love Loreena McKennitt's music. It is just blissful and outstanding.

I have painted on illustration board of the size 7 x 10 cm and fixed the tiny painting on top of a mounting board of the size 18 x 13 cm. It'll fit in regular frames of the size 18 x 13 cm (~ 5" x 7").

This original artwork will be packed with an exceptional care, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, and it will be send via Royal Mail 1 St Class Signed For. International mail it will be send via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.

Materials used:
