Sometimes its nice to break a habit or routine. Working at a different scale and dimension to the usual can be inspiring. Normally I work on large rectangular canvases so it was a joy to paint this little box canvas of only 10 x 15 cm. I feel it has a character of its own. It was painted fast and boldly. I applied magenta, cerulean and titanium white using a palette knife onto a muted pistachio green background. I then used a brush to blend and give depth.
The edges of this canvas are 2,5 cm thick and painted in a soft grey/green that compliments the piece. If you wish the edges to be painted any other colour I would be happy to do so.
