Artist's description:

I originally shot this photograph in color. I combined 15 different exossures in order to get one that was in focus from the nearest part of the flower to the furthest. I liked the result, but felt that I could do more with the image. Translating it into BW image creates an entirely different flower. One of diaphanous petals and emphasized structure. I like this version of the flower because it emphasizes what I might otherwise overlook while being dazzled by the color of the flower. This is something that BW gives us that color doesn’t – the ability to see beyond the color to the beauty of the tones and gradations in the flower.

This 24x36 inch photograph is printed on artist’s canvas using archival pigments that will not fade over time. Ready to hang, people often mistake this large canvas photograph for a painting. It is a great size that really ‘holds a wall’. It comes in a limited edition of 25, each with a signed certificate of authenticity.
