This piece was painted for an exhibition celebrating International Womens Day. The theme was Commitment, Conviction, Courage.

Pink Flower is a story of a woman with courage. A woman who has experienced hardship and the pain of being marginalised and different.

Amongst feelings of uncertainty and doubt, a connection is made. A desire to initiate change begins to emerge. Despite her heavy shoulders she begins to grow. Her colour emerges, she looks for the sun.

Pink Flower now shines with a sense of purpose, displaying her true inner colours without fear. Courageous and strong, she inspires women to rise above, and offers to hold their hand.

Pink flower has white painted sides and is wired, ready to hang.
