One of a series of oil paintings depicting the journey made by The Pilgrim Fathers in 1620 onboard the Mayflower. Here is the ship, almost across the Atlantic having survived storms but now in lighter winds heading west into the setting sun. Soon land will be sighted at Cape Cod and eventually the colony at New Plymouth, Massachusetts will be established.
This is one of my older paintings and back on the market, other work in this series is owned by The Royal Navy here in the UK.
The frame shown is a traditional period style frame in a walnut effect with gold beading (the width of the frame is 76mm).
This painting is offered framed or unframed. A 10% discount will be applied if unframed.
