Original artwork description:
Peyriac de mer is a little village in the Aude departement in the South of France, located on the ' étang de Bages ' near the Mediterranean sea. Its economy rests on fishing, salt ponds and tourism. In this work I tried to convey the light and quiet atmosphere prevailing. This oil painting was painted on a linen canvas using sketches and watercolour studies I had made in-situ in autumn. I chose to put in the foreground the boats which were actually located behind me.
This painting is ready to hang and sold with a certificate of authenticity. It will be dispatched carefully packaged in a strong cardboard box and sent with a tracked courier, insured to the value of the artwork.
