Original artwork description:

Original work - big painting ins contemporary pop art style.
Painting The sentinels of culture was published in art magazine Artqol (Issue 21).

Story about the painting:
"The painting The Sentinels of Culture is about the gradual decline of our culture in general and the weakening of people's relationship to cultural and ethical values.
Where are the times when we ceremonially undressed, when the extraordinary event occurred that we had the opportunity to go to a concert or theater performance, to the opening of an art exhibition...
The further we go, the less we participate in them. We even rarely go to the cinema to watch a worthwhile film.
After all, why even if we have the opportunity to watch it from the comfort of home on a streaming network. It seems pointless to us to go to an expensive concert when we can listen to music in bed or on the sofa. And instead of the pleasure of original art, we can just exchange one poster on the wall for another at any time.
Live contact with culture has been replaced by the screens of televisions, laptops and smartphones, from which a flood of all kinds of things are spewed at us - but they usually introduce us to a pseudo-culture or a deformed culture.
Fortunately, there are still enough people who create valuable cultural values, organize cultural events and awaken us from our comfort and lethargy.
I created this painting in their honor."
