Artist's description:

This is part of a series of mixed media works made by initially making a painting on paper using ink and bleach and then screen-printing over with acrylic paint. I was thinking about the structure of the eye, how we see physically and also the nature of the reality we think we see. I used an optician's photograph of my retina as I have inherited early onset Glaucoma which has made me fundamentally question the sight I take for granted. Each print is a unique and different part of a series of ten.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, ink and bleach

Peripheral Vision (2015)
