Original artwork description:

Peranakan Houses, Cairnhill rd,Singapore
This kind of classic building, similar to the ‘shop house’, can be found in a small, exclusive part of Singapore. It's an amazing architectural style, and here is an early attempt to represent this, done back when I was residing in that city. There is also a colour version of this item posted.
This is painted on a traditional mulberry paper handmade in Thailand. It is a thick parchment paper, strong yet pliable. I have the paper made to this size to get the deckled edges which adds to the textural effect. The close up picture is to get a better feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.

Interested to have your idea painted in this style? Maybe a storyboard collage from a recent travel, your house or street? Contact me.
Packaging for my small paintings like this one is sealed in plastic sleeve, sealed in a padded hard plastic file case, and in an envelope.
Please note that you can purchase in one order up to 3 paintings of this same size (small painting category) or smaller to be included in the same 1 shipping fee.
About framing.
When considering framing bear in mind to not cover up the deckled edges. This is one of the specialties of the painting, one of its charms. It is best displayed framed with a cut mat board around the painting so as not to cover the edges, thereby putting some space between the art and the glass and bringing depth to the framed art. It can also be framed simply with backing board and pressed with glass over the front without causing damage.

Materials used:

acrylic colour on handmade Thai mulberry paper (kada sa), deckled edge
